Monica Futrell

Monica represents clients in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, development, financing, acquisition, and disposition of commercial real estate such as freestanding and retail space; general office space; healthcare facilities; and shopping center outparcels. Monica has significant experience working with large national retailers to negotiate leases, manage the effect of restrictive covenants, and limit risk exposure. Monica’s experience also includes working with national healthcare REITs to manage the leasing demands of medical office buildings within their portfolio.

Monica’s practice includes drafting and reviewing commercial real estate and financing documents, negotiating agreements, performing due diligence, and conducting closings. Clients appreciate Monica’s problem-solving approach to negotiations and her ability to forge consensus while protecting their interests.

Monica enjoys helping clients close the deals that matter to their businesses — such as seeing a client’s commercial development become a reality, a medical office building become fully leased, or a retail store bring more choices to a community.
